Chocolate Cornflake Clusters

Serves 25.


  • 120g unsalted butter
  • 6 tablespoons golden syrup
  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 180g cornflakes


Put the chocolate into a pan and melt on a gentle heat, stirring constantly. Add the butter, stir until melted. Add the golden syrup. Stir. Add the cornflakes and mix very gently so as not to break them. Spoon into paper cups. Cool. Leave to set in a refrigerator overnight.

You can substitute rice crispies for the cornflakes. Then you have Chocolate Crackles.
