Name: Sakai Portal Tools

STFC has assembled a suite of software tools in the form of portlets which will execute in the Sakai portal framework. This work was done with support from the Economic and Social
Research Council and Joint Infrastructure Systems Committee.

The Sakai Portal Tools are subject to licensing as follows:
- applications and libraries distributed in source code, that the Licensee may use free of charge for Academic Purposes, subject to the terms of clauses 2.1-2.4 of the STFC Public Source Licence Agreement;
- applications and libraries distributed in source code, that the Licensee may use, free of charge, subject to the terms of the LGPL or the GPL; and
- third party software that is included in the Sakai Portal Toolsand that is licensed by a third party on that third party's terms and conditions.
Definitions:
the Sakai Portal Tools: the Portlets and Libraries distributed by STFC
from time to time as part of the Sakai VRE or any e-Research portal derived from it, except the GNU
Software and the Third Party Software;
the Sakai Portal Tools Web site: the web site with the URL
http://www.grids.ac.uk/Sakai and any
web site that from time to time replaces that web site
the Current Release: each tool has a separate release number as documented on the Web site, the licence shall cover that and all later versions that STFC decides may be used under this Agreement;
the Repository: the definitive location of the source code comprising
the Software and its Current Release is to be found at URL
http://svn.stfc.ac.uk
the Software: the suite of programs known as Sakai Portal Tools, comprising the GNU
Software, the Sakai Portlets and Libraries and the Third Party Software;
the Third Party Software: the Sakai portal framework which is licensed under the Educational Community Licence (ECL)
